At the next Ausform at the Cube I will be trying out some material from the performance monster that is Who Knows Where.

Throughout the performance visual, auditive and kinesthetic sensations are triggered by the vibration of colours, music, movement.

The Ausform Platform of Performance is a performance platform that strives to promote and encourage knowledge, appreciation, practice and conversation of performance. Expect puppetry, performance art, films, circus and physical theatre.

Performances also from Elizabeth Pennington, Zoe Padley and Edward Rapley.

The Ever Present Fear of Death Whilst Cycling

Recently I have been cycling more than usual. This is because I have effectively had a job for the best part of a month now. First rehearsing The Tragic and Disturbing Tale of Little Lupin and then working on a Drupal site for the lovely guys at thoughtden.co.uk

I'm leaving Bristol

This day was always going to come, I knew that eventually I would have to make the move, but I didn't think that it would be so soon. That's right folks - I am leaving Bristol.

I also teach Tai Chi

It's not something that I've ever mentioned before on this blog, but it's a major part of my life, so i thought it was about time to write something about it. There is also a further reason for mentioning it-

I have a new beginners Tai Chi class starting on the 3rd of February, with a free talk and demo on the 27th of January.

So if you've ever thought about giving it a go, why not come on down and try it out. You can find the other classes that are run by the school I'm part of here: Bristol Wutan

I am theatrebristol.net

It's all about me, no really, it's just me that's all there is. Theatre Bristol has just launched their new site and the old listings have not been transferred so right now I'm the only person who makes theatre in Bristol. Kudos to me!

Websites

Since 2006 I have been based in Bristol, making websites using the Drupal.org content management system, it is a powerful and flexible tool for making all kinds of websites, from simple professional blogs to e-commerce and beyond. If you are looking to build a new site or convert an existing one to a more user friendly platform then get in touch with me here- Contact.

Performance

I have been working as a performer since 2005, it's what I always wanted to do, I love performing my own work and getting involved in other people's shows. I like bleeding edge cabaret, good, honest boundary smashing performance, thought provoking live art, and subversive theatre. I also do corporate gigs and weddings.

Most of my work has been on stage and I am looking to get more experience of working in TV, Radio and Film, but then who isn't?

If you have a project in any of these areas then get in touch. I'm always open to new projects and collaborations, I am based in Bristol, UK, but I'm happy to travel for interesting jobs.

Pro Cathedral, Bristol, A Short Video Tour

A short video tour of the inside of Bristol's abandoned, second cathedral.

The Artspace/Lifespace group are currently paying a peppercorn rent and will be cleaning the space up and turning it into a performance venue.

  • on holiday and therefore off-line for the next week...
  • @andytfield is this what you mean? For me context is the world around and outside the work: its time & place.
  • @andytfield Yes critics should be looking at the work's meaning & the artist's intent rather than just the machinery which carries it.
  • @Actionherolive elevate those legs and let the blood rush back down.
  • @hannahnicklin anything at all by Grant Morrison which you haven't read yet: The Invisibles, The Filth, Seaguy, Seven Soldiers of Victory
