Work
I need a producer
I am looking for someone who wants to produce my solo work in return for a decent chunk of any profit, without having to shoulder the burdens of any losses. I want to get my work out there and have financial as well as artistic success. I think it would suite someone just starting out, but the more experience the better. Performance
I have been working as a performer since 2005, it's what I always wanted to do, I love performing my own work and getting involved in other people's shows. I like bleeding edge cabaret, good, honest boundary smashing performance, thought provoking live art, and subversive theatre. I also do corporate gigs and weddings.
Most of my work has been on stage and I am looking to get more experience of working in TV, Radio and Film, but then who isn't?
If you have a project in any of these areas then get in touch. I'm always open to new projects and collaborations, I am based in Bristol, UK, but I'm happy to travel for interesting jobs.

Web Weaving Work
In the interest of my financial well being I just want to highlight the work that i do making websites. I use a super powerful content management system called Drupal. I made this site you are looking at right now: www.edwardrapley.co.uk
My best work. so far, is on www.transform-volunteers.org.uk, a website for Transform Drugs Policy Foundation which allows volunteers to register and carry out requests from the core staff. For example researching responses to the government's (utterly flawed) consultation paper on drugs, or distributing information inside China.
You need to register to be able to see any of the content on that site. So here's a screen cap of the World Map Project, an ongoing volunteer task which seeks to compile information on the drugs situation inside every country in the world. This is what it looks like:

Here are a couple of little screen caps from sites which are currently works in progress. The first site is for a collective of theatre companies, based in Bristol, UK, called Residence. It is an artist-led organisation creating space for artists to make performance, live art and theatre in Bristol:

and
The final site is still at it's very earliest stages. I am building it for a theatre company called The Wonder Club, who are based in bristol and are members of Residence. On the screen cap you can see the lightbox application being used in a gallery window.

Currently all these sites are based on the excellent Marinelli Theme, however it is a very simple matter to make sites which will look radically different.
If you want me to make a website for you then just drop me a line through the contact form on this site: http://edwardrapley.co.uk/contact
Busy and Ill
It's been a busy couple of weeks, I'm feeling rotten and it's been non-stop with the Ghost Town show up at the Pro Cathedral last week, working on my solo show for Oxford, working at the Watershed, and doing a couple of ubuntu installs.
The Big Heads
I took a break from my punishing schedule of painting and decorating to travel up to Derby with the lovely Tom Wainwright and the Joy Society to perform the Big Heads at the Ashbourne Festival.
The characters are amazing but the heads themselves appear to have been created in the mold of 16th century torture devices. I am still scrubbing the fiber glass from my arms and legs 2 days later and will probably have to burn the clothes i wore that day.
A busy summer..
It's going to be a very busy summer. I'll working/performing at festivals pretty much every weekend from now until october.
This year it's mainly with the BigLOVE Inflatable church, I'm looking forward to Bestival.
There's also a fair number of gigs for The Invisible Circus, including a slot at Glastonbury with.
If I'm lucky there might even be a trip over to Deutchland for the Fusion Festival.
