The Milk Bar

Amazing news! Residence has a new home, thanks to the wonderful people in the Arts and Property departments of Bristol City Council we are now the proud residents of The Milk Bar, 11 St Nicholas Street, Bristol, BS1 1UE.

We have the space for six months and will be making the most of it right from the get go. We are sharing the building with Simon Games who if you don't know are the folks behind the amazing igfest(.org) a festival of pervasive games.

Right now we are getting the space together, cleaning, painting, sorting the gas, electric, and water, cleaning windows, removing boards, mopping floors, and generally making the space wonderful.

Many thanks to the guys at Seamus O'Donnells for the use the of their electric, why not go there and get yourself a pint. Or you could always pop round to our neighbours on the other side- The Mothers Ruin for a bit of booze. Crickey why not visit them both. Tea at ours afterwards? Why not.

Great news, good work!

  • @andytfield is this what you mean? For me context is the world around and outside the work: its time & place.
  • @andytfield Yes critics should be looking at the work's meaning & the artist's intent rather than just the machinery which carries it.
